Kolkata biriyani is loved and revered not only in the city, but in the entire country. And what better place to have it in other than good old Arsalan.
Located very conveniently at the Park Circus 7-Point crossing, Arsalan now has several branches all over the city, but somehow I feel too attached to their original outlet to shift my loyalty.
If the mutton biriyani is good, their signature Arsalan Kebab is even better. The tender chicken chunks with spices generously covered in molten cheese, with the mildly tangy coriander dip, is the perfect gift for one’s taste-buds, for any season.
Also, the firni, a cooked rice dessert, is creamy and comforting e thout being extra sweet.
Arsalan might not provide the perfect posh and snazzy dinner place, but it is just the perfect place for anyone looking for no-nonsense, delicious Moghlai food.

Devpurna, in her own words is “The forever hungry Bong lady. Might just be the easiest female to understand – give me food, and I will be happy!”
