Glace Pattiserie : Some serious Desserting

I had chanced upon this little place while roaming around in a creepily empty mall. Wasn’t in the mood for anything sweet so had a Chicken Quiche which was good, but the cakes looked delectable, and I wanted go back to try their sweet things for quite some time.

And finally got the chance to sample a line of their offerings, on a special tasting session. To call them amazing would be an understatement. Be it the Blueberry Cheesecake, or the Mango Coconut Panna Cotta, each was a delight on their own. Both had the perfect texture, and started off a party in my mouth.

My favourite that evening, however, was the Lemon Meringue Pie. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and tang and the swirls of white meringue were unbelievably light and airy.

Their layered Coffee Macaroon tower of sorts, had the perfect crunchy outer coating and a chewy inside. The white chocolate disks in between the layer, added to its beauty.

The Salted Caramel Praline Pastry was another star of the night, with a soft sponge accentuated by pops of caramel.

And the Vienna Cake, a simple, elegant, single layered cake with a chocolate icing, reminded me yet again that, beauty lies in simplicity.

Right now, I am totally in love with them. Will definitely visit them again, and again.

P.S. Their ‘made to order’ cakes are a delight and the designs are spot on!
