Want to have a relaxed evening with some good food and good conversations? Or is glugging a beer and tapping your feet to live music, more of your thing? Either way, you must head up to Ego, the Retro Lounge Bar at the Peerless Inn.
Located at the prime location of Esplanade, Peerless Inn has been a hub of great hospitality for many years now. And with its overhauled decor and menu, Ego is all set to rock the stage. It is sure to grab some eyeballs, taste-buds and ears too, with its soothing, relaxed decor, great food and live music. Presently, they have the following bands amping up the mood every week –
Day Name of the Band
Wednesday Stairways
Friday Feather Touch
Saturday The Overtime Project
The recently relaunched lounge has a long line of cocktails and mocktails, and a remarkable selection of international wines. I went there on an invitation to KFB on a Friday night. My evening started with a Mojito and Vietnamese Woolly Prawns. The prawns were big, juicy and perfectly cooked through, and crunchy indeed on the outside. With the sweet chilli dip, they spelled perfection. Though I am not a fan of their Malaysian Mixed Meat Dumplings, I found their Spinach and Chives Jade Dumplings to be brilliant. Encased in translucent green sheets, were the mildly flavoured chopped vegetables, and were the perfect accompaniment to out wines.
